A Thousand Stories A thousand stories I have seen, mostly on the silver screen. Some I've read in paper books, all the words, the verbal hooks. A line, a phrase, a thought, a meaning, ideas send senses careening. Each, a memory of the ages, frame by frame or turning pages Each story, future, present, past, realms of living, lives recast. Characters alive and breathing, full of tears, heavy chests set heaving. Hearts full of pleasure, full of pain, human emotions, love’s lost gain. Heroes, villains, tell life’s tale, Pull the curtain, beyond the pale. © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long Photo: By Edison Vitascope Company, printed by Metropolitan Print Company (LOC), via Wikimedia Commons If you enjoyed this poem, you can find more here.
