A poet starts

A poet starts

A poet starts, pencils first,
on paper, yellow, lined.
Then, to pen, words burst,
writes all that's in his mind.
Quenching reader's thirst.

Each word, penned, paced,
evolving truths unwound.
Written truths to be faced,
honest words, wisdom found.
Keeping faith in readers placed.

A poet feels fevered fervor,
pent up in memory's store.
Released meaning to observer,
treasured gems galore.
Wealth's gifts, reader's savor.

Each word echoes timeless themes
resounding round about us.
Shining now, celestial streams,
shadows gather and remain thus.
Apparitions glow in reader's dreams.
