words of gold

words of gold

the pen contains a book of words
that flows and yearns to be heard
the ink contains the magic power
to fill the mind, hour by hour
the page reflects the inner world
of words and thoughts the pen unfurled

the essence of the message penned
compels the reader to transcend
the thoughts transferred reveal the state
the reader finds, he can relate
the images sent telepathically
are received in joy, emphatically

a book of words lasts through the ages
contains the souls of immortal sages
the tome inspired by blessed muses
melds with each soul and boldly fuses
aeons pass with time emboldened
the words remain because they're golden

The term was coined in 1882 by the classical scholar Frederic W. H. Myers, a founder of the Society for Psychical Research, and has remained more popular than the earlier expression thought-transference. (Wikipedia) Writing about telepathy, King suggests that we are “downstream on the time-line”. We are in the here-and-now and as he writes from the past, he
