Destine You And the chronic, constant drain drags on. And the droning draconian ellipse of despair degrades the life force. And destiny's doom's downward spiral denigrates the day's light. And death's dirge drums deeply, denotes denied time. And the cycle of memory swirls in symbiotic circles pushing life's value to a zero sum game. And time wins but loses power over the loser. And as darkness reigns, a vacuous vacuum envelopes a heart plunged to depths un-reached, unreachable, uncharted, unfilled, unfulfilled. And the cataclysmic loss of existence ensues, ending everything. fruitless pursuit And the tempest that roars in man's heart,  that blazes in man's soul,  can it be quelled,  can it be quenched?  And the storm that rages in man's mind,  that engulfs man's thoughts,  can it be calmed,  can it be quieted?  Mental vise winds tight.  Torque torments each thought.  Ideas twist to tantalize brains.  Pain pounds emotion's center.  Strain cavitates the inner torso.  Relief sought, returns unrequited. And the rampage that ravages man's life,  that tears asunder man's hope.  can it be arrested,  can it be salvaged?  And the force that strikes man's affection,  that afflict man's desires,  can it be shielded,  can it assuaged? tensile travail for words that whirl restlessly in my mind collide and rearrange cluttered thoughts  swirl sideways as i endeavor  to gather words fit for utterance  yet they resist the force of my will  twirling tenuously though my head  vocabulary gives way to grammar  as i strain to pull the scattered ideas together but they pull in perplexing polar permutations as i struggle  to rein in the images that  pull like majestic mighty mares  moving grandly across the horizon yet they resist the discipline of my pen  regarding my efforts disdainfully  but i press on ingloriously bound  by the rigors of writing but thinking  splinters the wound up words that have  amassed like nimble nimbus clouds  across the sky resulting in a downpour  of words that only find their way to the sea and evaporate and i am left longing  for words that whirl restlessly in...
