A Heart

A Heart A heart. A heart can be red,  be black,  be gray, be blue; heart of my heart You can bend it,  break it,  cut it,  empty it; a heart. You can hurt it,  melt it,  mend it,  touch it, fill it; a heart. You can share it,  sin against it, raise it,  lift it,  hold it;  a heart. A heart can sing,  can dance,  can love,  can sing; a heart. A heart can soar,  can fly,  can float, can feel; a heart. A heart can beat,  can pulse,  can surge,  can explode; a heart. A heart can hope, can care,  can smile, can laugh;  a heart. A heart  can cry,  can shrink, can lament, can worry, a heart. A heart can be strong,  can be weak,  can be weary,  can be foolish; a heart. A heart can be deceitful,  can be alone,  can be lost,  can be found; a heart. A heart can be sad,  can be melancholy,  can be down,  can be lonely; a heart.

of words

of words  a whirlwind  of words  swirl and twirl  and twist and  hurl through  worlds and ways  turn me now the pull and push of words  lift and  loose  from fettered  thoughts  and notions free me now circles of words spinning round in elliptic motion surround me now the tip and edge and rim of words reach and stretch and  touch and thrill me now distant images  race and trace  the path  of words lead me now the sting and  pain and trail of of words  and broken bones wound me now the comfort and  love and balm of words heal me now that power and glory are the life of words  consume me now © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image by:  anneheathen via Flickr Creative Commons
For you For you, my heart sputters,  churns and  burns, my heart waits,  yearns and  turns. For you, my heart's  on fire,  sparks and  flames, my heart  sizzles, scorches and sears. For you, my heart  bleeds,  boils and  beats, my heart  pulses, loves and longs. For you my heart  feels, flutters and  floats, my heart soars and smiles. For you, my heart  aches, shakes and stirs, my heart, rumbles and tumbles. For you,  my heart is bared, cares and shares, my heart lives and gives. For you. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ image:  By Julia Warshal via Flickr Creative Commons

she sailed through her dreams

she sailed through her dreams she sailed through her dreams as if life was what she lived during beatific sleep she dreamed her life was full of sunshine and fields of flowing, glowing beauty she sailed through her dreams the days were long and filled with smiles and songs of joyful, dervish dancing she sailed through her dreams the nights were filled with shining moonlight and sparkling, spinning stars she sailed through her dreams the paths she walked were filled with friends and peaceful, pensive pleasures she sailed through her dreams the ways she followed were filled with love and romantic, impassioned kisses she sailed through her dreams the plans she made were filled with hope and a grateful, thankful future she sailed through her dreams as if life was what she lived during beatific sleep she lived her life as if her dreams were real © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image:  By Albert Ritzberger

Autumn Scenes: Autumn demands

Point State Park, Pittsburgh, PA Autumn demands Summer's heat  turns to  Autumn's chill. Summer's fun  turns to  Autumn's thrill. Autumn's  color panoply  on every hill. Autumn demands  hue changes. Summer's colors, Autumn rearranges. Green to yellow,  orange,  gold or red, Rainbow's colors  deftly spread. Autumn's breeze  chills the Night. Summer's warmth's  taken flight. Swirling leaves,  twirling,  fall. Brown,  then gather,  then,  a stormy squall. Autumn demands. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image :  "Point State Park in Fall" by John ~ Creative Commons via Wikimedia Commons

conjure a rhyme

conjure a rhyme It takes a short time, to conjure a rhyme. Just a short burst, to conquer word thirst. Somewhere out there, to here, a poem appears. Black letters take stage, in place, on white page. Mystical notions emerge, form ideas’ quick surge. Merge into dense lines, crisp images entwine. Riddle's answer unfold, old stories retold. Restore sight to the blind, deep conundrums unbind. Enigmas clearly unwind, released subtly sublime. Now open a world,  see solutions unfurled. A grand reader peruses, for his own uses, vivid images that fuses thoughts inspired by The Muses. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image:  "The Artist in Repose" by Walter Crane (1845-1915) via wikimedia commons

Love Fantastical

Love Fantastical She said I made her laugh,  at times she got so hysterical. I loved to hear her laugh,  at times the sound was so lyrical. She always asked me why,  at times she was so quizzical. I loved to make her think, at times she was so metaphysical. She said we were meant to be,  at times it was so mystical I loved to spend my time with her,  at times she was so divinical. She stroked my red-flecked beard, at times it was so rhythmical. I loved to hold her close,  at times we got so physical. She said my humor stung sometimes,  at times I was so satirical. I loved to make up with her, at times we got so spherical. She said I made her feel special, at times she was so angelical. I loved many things about her,  at times they were so numerical © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image adapted from:  qthomasbower via Flickr Creative Commons
