i like her lips

i like her lips i like her lips, soft and sweet,  velvet touches, our lips meet her lipstick colors, perfect look, naked lips, though, are my hook pink lipped pleasures, satin treat, tasting heaven, when lips greet passion's power's fully felt, simmering session, my heart melts luscious lips, now swollen red, magic moments, swimming heads lips entwined, pulse and twitch, hearts now beat at fevered pitch lips that meet speak fluent love, make little sounds, like cooing dove a kiss can last, can linger long, depends upon a love that's strong © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image by:  Juliana Coutinho via flickr

edge of reality

edge of reality reaching  for the apex of life,  gnarled hands grasp  at the edge of reality.  fingernails tear  at the ragged rim.  furrowed ruts marked by digits  of former seekers  are clear, some deep.  many realize  that life's summit  is reached  at great cost.  reached,  not by many  but sought by all.  at the edge  of reality  varied journeyers  loiter,  gazing upward.  the light of reality  peers  downward;  the pilgrims  shield their eyes,  fearfully. the apex of life remains at the edge of reality. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image By:  via http://commons.wikimedia.org/

old friends

old friends searched online for former friends surprised to see untimely ends friends, their spouses, moms and dads sad to see the deaths they had the inexorable tick and tock of time, leads us all to fields, sublime through twisting, turning hands of fate, soon we'll all be known as "late" years roll on, time is passed no one knows how long it lasts each life is counted out by days as friends we oft go separate ways friend's faces show the lines of age as each one turns his separate page fools fleeting time waits for no man eighty years our lives may span so count your days with special care for who knows how, who knows where our beating hearts will one day stop find old friends before they drop © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image adapted:  By SDRandCo via morguefile.com

Poet's Reader

Spectral Light Poet's Reader Poet's words elide with thought, creates bold ideas out of nought. Reader sees images wrought, through mentation, views are taught. Poet's words unveil prismatic world, mirrored truths through time, unfurled. Reader blends with sage's whorl, through reflection, hued lights uncurl. Poet's words simmer sleeping passion, heats inner life, cold hearts re-fashioned. Reader warms with deep compassion, new emotions, lives re-impassioned. Poet's words collide with spectral light, blind vision explodes in streaming sight. Reader wanders, lost in sightless blight, through visual power has dreams ignite. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Images via:  http://www.freeimages.co.uk/galleries.htm

how he makes love

how he makes love "A woman doesn't care how he makes his living, only how he makes love," she said. She uttered these types of phrases all the time, like they were eternal truths or the final word on any topic. Maybe I should say, they were pronouncements . She was unstoppable. She lived each day to the fullest, like it mattered. She lived each day like it was her last. Squeezing every bit of it out, like juice from an orange, even the pulp, like she did in the kitchen every morning (that we had oranges). "The pulp improves antioxidant status and suppresses lipid peroxidation," she declared, (as if I understood or even cared). LoL. "That's not what most women say. They want men with a bank account, " I answered. She sighed. Turning to look me in the eye, she said, "A woman cares how he lives his love more than how he makes a living. How each day, each movement, each word is making love--making love--to her. The way he says

May kisses

May kisses May kisses find you, long, deep. May kisses find you, love, to keep. May kisses find you, strong, true. May kisses find you, forever new. May kisses fill you, amply whole. May kisses fill you, sated, full. May kisses fill you, to the brim. May kisses fill you, completed whim. May kisses touch you, softly sweet. May kisses touch you while you sleep. May kisses touch you, keep you warm. May kisses touch you, safe from harm. May kisses reach you, from afar. May kisses reach you, wishes on a star. May kisses reach you, soul impart. May kisses reach you, impale your heart. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image:  by jinterwas via flickr

Sadness Over You

Sadness Over You Sadness rolls over you, body buoyed by the heavy saltwater, that flows from your eyes. The waves lull you in silence. Ebb and flow pulls you, in and out along the surf and when you land on the sand, the sea foam rises and warms your sadness, and you wipe your eyes. Sadness closes over you, like a constant fog that fills your head and covers you like a blanket that tucks you in and holds you fast to your bed. Heavy fog lingers and refuses to dissipate, as you lie there, sleepless, and the sandman clogs your eyes with his mocking sand. Sadness surrounds you like the darkness of a moonless, cloudy night. You stumble over roots and gopher holes in the blackness. Clouds hover and you seek the stars but you only peer further into the black night. Hoped for dawn does not come, as you walk, directionless and sigh, and your eyes never adjust to the darkness. Sadness fills you like a lukewarm drink, neither hot nor cold and the taste of it has long gone. The liquid neith

Fragile

Fragile A heart is a fragile place. A place where  memories hide, hurts abide, love collides.  ❤ A heart is  a fragile place. A place where  pain is felt, hopes melt, love welts.   ❤ A heart is  a fragile place. A place where  plans are laid, dreams fade, home's made.   ❤ A heart is  a fragile place. A place where time stops, spirits drop, bubbles pop.  ❤ A heart is  a fragile place. A place where love is born, oaths are sworn, lovers mourn. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image:  By {innocent eyes} via flickr

and love

and love and love happens like lightning striking in a moment, in a day, in a glance. and love changes like dawn breaks, imperceptibly from dark to light. and love surrounds like morning mist, rising from nowhere until it envelopes. and love grows from pain to hunger gnawing from the belly and the mind. and love is desperate like addiction overriding every other appetite. and love creates a world like a dream where days are lived in slow motion. and love empowers like confident faith emboldening to overcome obstacles. and love lasts like the ocean waves' ebbs and flows, forever. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image:  By elayne001 via pixabay

Summer Scenes: the breeze

the breeze i am alone. i feel the breeze. after the humid heat of the summer's day,  the cool evening breeze sends me bodily relief, yet, carries an unsettling sense of melancholy. the sun's bright, burning, daytime blaze must always give way to the cool darkness of night, where aloneness weighs heavier on one's silent soul. the weight of the day doubles and trebles with each passing hour, with each star that appears in the sky, with each moonbeam that catches my eye. i see the distant orbs and am reminded of the vast universe. i am small. the tiny specks that are stars sparkle and wink, yet, i am not amused. words sometimes bring comfort but tonight's breeze reminds me that relief is fleeting, for tomorrow's summer sun will give way to yet another summer night. i accept the breeze's soothing consolation from the day's warmth but find no solace in my solitary, summer musings. i feel the breeze. i am alone.  © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Imag

Mind Sounds

Mind Sounds Swirling thoughts, spinning round, pulsing music, colliding sound. Machine hums echoes rebound, ideas circle, images abound. Mental motion, think aloud, decibels rise, raucous crowd. Clanging cymbals, metal sound, brain's function, notions wound. Figures focus, cranial collage, whirring, scraping, mirage barrage. Symphonic measure, cacophonous beat, concept cluster, attitude retreat. Sounds, thoughts, reverberate round, images, noise, headward bound. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image :  http://www.freeimageslive.com/galleries/backdrops/abstract/pics/abstractcarnationnegative.jpg

yesteryear

yesteryear Crystalline memories of yesteryear, framed like snapshots, seem so clear. Viewed from a distance, recall, true, focused images, seem like new. Remembered visions of days gone by, like photograph's ingrained in mind's eye. Recalled days and unforgotten nights, remain deep within mind's sights. Faces of people, recollected facts, preserved like scenes from plays' First Acts. Impressions gathered, treasured pictures, likeness imagined, permanent fixtures. Someone's there from the long ago past, like photos handled and preserved to last. Smiling, laughing, sometimes somber faces, saved like etched glass, remembered graces. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image by:  VintagePhotos By gracey

July 4th Freedom

July 4th Freedom Stars and Stripes forever wave. Heroes fought, the flag to save. Red and White Stripes in view, White Stars on a field of true Blue. Thirteen Stripes: seven Red, six White; stands through darkest, evil night. The victory banner hangs on high. Now hear the heroes' battle cry. Old Glory flies high in the breeze. Heroes hold up freedom's keys. Safety and happiness set men free. Fly high from sea to shining sea. Forefather's faith set forth the standard. The symbol is The Star Spangled Banner. Our country takes the huddled masses. The flag waves freely above all classes. We pledge allegiance to the Flag today, which flies over the Republic of the USA. Liberty for one nation, under God it stands, And Justice for Americans from all lands. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image:  By wintersixfour .

I love to

I love to I love to run my fingers  through your silky, brown  tresses. I love to touch you  in your soft, white, cotton  sundresses. I love your  hot, humid, tender caresses. I love to place my mouth and  kiss you on your round, ruby lips.  I love to hold you 'round your  swaying, nubile hips. I love to  touch and move my hands on your  smooth, satin skin with my fingertips.  I love to see the sun shine on your  sweet, smilin' face. I love to see  you run with beauty and grace. I love  to feel your body in a full, frontal  embrace. I love to hear the laughter  in your voice. I love it that you made  me your loving choice. I love to  celebrate your heart and rejoice. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image by:  Pierre Auguste Cot [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons
