Invulnerable Love has tried to pierce my armor, I’ve resisted every female charmer. Love has tried to strike my shield, I’ve refused to drop arms I wield. Love has failed to pierce my skin, I’ve refused to let woman’s love in. I’ve repulsed Cupid’s arrow’s aim, Love has yet to stake a claim. I’ve rebuked all words l’amour, Love has not filled me more. I’ve repelled romantic notions, Love has not served me love potions. Love has tried to open wide, Thick and callused heart I hide. Love has tried to find my heart, Hidden deep inside my deepest part. Love has yet to burst the bubble; I’ve encased myself from love’s trouble. I’ve escaped the painful fate, Love’s not reached my inner state. I’ve achieved the foolish feat, Love has left me incomplete. I’ve forgotten love’s majestic feel, Love has made my heart like steel. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ If you enjoyed this poem, find more of my writing here, Image by: G...
