soulful sadness Silently, he wept.  The sullen  stillness  weighed  on his heart,  like water-filled  balloons,  too heavy  to hold  and dropped.  And broke.  Like the water  escaping  from the balloons,  so, too, does  his heavy  heart spill  water-filled tears.  The remaining drops, drip, one-by-one, counting out, the beats of  his broken heart. The scratched record played a slow,  blues rhythm.
