a bed made with unasked grace,
a flower placed upon the desk,
a card sent just because;

an overlooked mistake,
an oven baked meal,
an understanding smile,
an open conversation;
these say love

a walk in the moonlight,
a remembered anniversary,
a favorite dessert,
holding hands in the car;
these say love

playing your love song,
candles in the bath,
following his rules,
following her rules;
these say love
