G+ smiles

G+ smiles A little bit of wit, A little bit of humor, A little bit of cynicism. Jocularities abound, innuendos resound, poetic teasing all around where this motley crew is found. Smiling faces, not a frown, some are up, some are down, a few Jokers and some Clowns can be seen in this G+ Town! Gifs, jpegs, photos, and some memes, photoshopping--nothing's what it seems! Kittens, puppies, and horsey screams, sunshine, rainbows and bright moon beams. G+ offers much to all, stock tips, health tips, have a ball, hangouts, communities, fun for all. Chat with friends, even call. A little bit of lols, a little bit of hahas, a little bit of sarcasm. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ If you enjoyed this poem, find more of my writing  here.

out of her head

out of her head The games they played, she played not. They roads they traveled, she drove around. The places they went, she'd go no more. The things they did, she did no longer. She could tear up his photos. She could throw away his clothes. She could put him out of her head. She could leave the memories behind. But she could not put him out of her dreams. She went to sleep and he was there. Smells, sounds, sensuality, Pleasure, pain, passion, Emotions, energy, elation, they waited for her, there. Flowers, chocolates, ice cream, poems, prayers, pomegranates, midnight swims, morning walks, she found in her dreams. She could put him out of her head. But she could not put him out of her dreams. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image by:  Constant Puyo [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons

Invulnerable

Invulnerable Love has tried to pierce my armor, I’ve resisted every female charmer. Love has tried to strike my shield, I’ve refused to drop arms I wield. Love has failed to pierce my skin, I’ve refused to let woman’s love in. I’ve repulsed Cupid’s arrow’s aim, Love has yet to stake a claim. I’ve rebuked all words l’amour, Love has not filled me more. I’ve repelled romantic notions, Love has not served me love potions. Love has tried to open wide, Thick and callused heart I hide. Love has tried to find my heart, Hidden deep inside my deepest part. Love has yet to burst the bubble; I’ve encased myself from love’s trouble. I’ve escaped the painful fate, Love’s not reached my inner state. I’ve achieved the foolish feat, Love has left me incomplete. I’ve forgotten love’s majestic feel, Love has made my heart like steel. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤  If you enjoyed this poem, find more of my writing  here, Image by:  G...

I saw you

I saw you When I saw you sitting on the swing, I didn't think I'd be thinking the things I'm thinking, the things I'm thinking of you, fill my heart. When I saw you walking in the park, I didn't think I'd be singing, the songs I'm singing, the songs I'm singing of you, fill my heart. When I saw you dancing in the meadow, I didn't think I'd be writing, the poems I'm writing, the poems I'm writing of you, fill my heart. When I saw you laughing in the sunshine, I didn't think I'd be writing, the stories I'm writing, the stories I'm writing of you, fill my heart. When I saw you flowing in my memory, I didn't think I'd be writing, the sonnets I'm writing, the sonnets I'm writing of you, fill my heart. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Photo by: Stefanomas

Winter's Way

Winter's Way Snow swirls and settles softly, down. Frozen ponds and pine trees are painted white. Winter wind whirls, swirls and twirls in circles, up and down, in and out. Drifting snow piles high here and there. Snow birds flitter, flutter and forage,  then, hurry to their roosts to nestle. Bright moon shines and the ice reflects it's beams between snowflakes and flurries. December's icy blanket covers field and hills. Blustery nights turn into biting cold days. Frosted roads crunch beneath sleighs led by huffing, puffing mares.  Mufflers, mittens or gloves cover frigid hands. Earmuffs, overcoats, and scarves stave off shivers. Snowbound sledders find space  to steer down slippery slopes. Firewood crackles in the fireplace. Snuggled beneath fleece throws, we counter polar storms and ice-kissed frigid gales. Jack Frost's season overwhelms  and overblows with solstice ice-flowers. © 2013 ajwrites57 A Lon...

What makes a man?

What makes a man? What makes a man? Is it random stuff or does it take a plan? Da Vinci's Man What makes a man? Is it toads and boys? Is it trees and toys? Is it impish ways and foolish ploys? What makes a man? Is it sweat and bone? Is it grit and stone? Is it being able to stand alone? What makes a man? Is it heart and hands? Is it testosterone and glands? Is it being able to tame wild lands? What makes a man? Is it strength and power? Is it metal and bower? Is it being able to take a tower? What makes a man? Is it love and heart? Is it wit and smarts? Is it taking up a weak one's part? Michelangelo's Man What makes a man? Is it random stuff or is there a master plan? © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image From : Leonardo da Vinci [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons Image From:  Michelangelo Buonarroti [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons

Windswept Days

Tempest Windswept Days These are windswept weary days of life, torn by stifled, splintered strife, often between a man and wife. These days full of chaos swirl, tossed and turned to twist and twirl, often suspend them in a whirl. These days remembered, moment's pain, lodge themselves in depth of brain, often powered hurts remain. These days of aching tempests pound, push these woeful thoughts aground, often only these are found. These melancholic images dance, forgotten pictures of romance, often lose their second chance. These days and more crush, pull, unwanted feelings, lover's fool, often only heart's frozen pool. © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image by: Ivan Aivazovsky [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons
