Kiss

Kiss

Strolling along the beach one day,
I spied a young man and young woman sitting in the sand.
I overheard the following conversation.

“I wanted to kiss you in the library,” he said.
“Why didn't you?” she asked.
“Well, because we were in the library,” he replied.
“There’s only one rule in the library,” she said.
“What is that?” he asked.
“No talking,” she said.
“What is the rule on the beach?" he asked.
“No talking!” she said.

Then...they kissed.

On one of his G+ posts, +Nathan Michaels posed the following questions:

I wonder if there something special about a kiss?
What feelings and emotions do people feel when they kiss?
Is there any kind of sensation that they feel when they do it?

Many thanks to +Nathan Michaels

I wrote this in response:

Kiss

Lips,
pressed against another’s,
tingles;
begins on the lips.
Sensations spread,
everywhere,
across the body,
in amazing places.
Nerve endings
tense
and quiver.
Kiss sends electricity
down the spine.
A shiver sends thrills
to many regions.
Lips get wet
and slippery,
lips part
and breath
gets mingled.
Lips,
if pressed for long,
get swollen,
plump and tender.
Both want more
than kisses now.
Tongues touching,
share liquid passion.
Hearts beat faster,
squirming starts,
wanting touches
in other parts.
Soon,
kiss must stop,
because other pleasures
desired,
may follow.
Starting,
then
stopping
Often,
makes one
feel so…hollow.

Winter's Way

Winter's Way Snow swirls and settles softly, down. Frozen ponds and pine trees are painted white. Winter wind whirls, swirls and twirls in circles, up and down, in and out. Drifting snow piles high here and there. Snow birds flitter, flutter and forage,  then, hurry to their roosts to nestle. Bright moon shines and the ice reflects it's beams between snowflakes and flurries. December's icy blanket covers field and hills. Blustery nights turn into biting cold days. Frosted roads crunch beneath sleighs led by huffing, puffing mares.  Mufflers, mittens or gloves cover frigid hands. Earmuffs, overcoats, and scarves stave off shivers. Snowbound sledders find space  to steer down slippery slopes. Firewood crackles in the fireplace. Snuggled beneath fleece throws, we counter polar storms and ice-kissed frigid gales. Jack Frost's season overwhelms  and overblows with solstice ice-flowers. © 2013 ajwrites57 A Lon...

and love

and love and love happens like lightning striking in a moment, in a day, in a glance. and love changes like dawn breaks, imperceptibly from dark to light. and love surrounds like morning mist, rising from nowhere until it envelopes. and love grows from pain to hunger gnawing from the belly and the mind. and love is desperate like addiction overriding every other appetite. and love creates a world like a dream where days are lived in slow motion. and love empowers like confident faith emboldening to overcome obstacles. and love lasts like the ocean waves' ebbs and flows, forever. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image:  By elayne001 via pixabay
