Nature's awakening

Nature's awakening The Spring sun shone silently. Nature roared to life. Robins and sparrows burst into a  cacophony of chirps and whistles. Tress and grasses greened and grew, crackling, in the woods. Flowers, budded and burst brilliantly; the yellows, the reds, the blues and all the shining, shimmering dew filled buds brimmed, beautifully. And I whistled a morning tune as basked in  Nature's awakening. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ If you enjoyed this poem, please find more of my writing  here.

two-step

Image:  By Jorge Royan (Own work) CC-BY-SA-3.0, via Wikimedia Commons two-step She did a two-step on my heart, my poor heart broke and fell apart. She kept dancing; it shattered more, I swept my broken heart up off the floor. I gathered up the thousand pieces, my furrowed brow turned into creases. She kept on dancing: I just sagged. My splintered heart stuffed in a bag. I flung the sack across my back. My empty chest was cold and black. I wandered near and wandered far, my loveless heart wished upon a star. I carried my heart to be repaired, the tinker shook his head then stared. "A broken heart is not a pot," he said. My face turned white, then turned red. My heart was cold in my little bag. All my hopes began to flag. Lo! In the distance, I heard a song. I listened deep, listened long. I followed the sound of the lovely tune, about love gone 'round the moon. With my sack in hand I ran a course, up then...
She stood She stood there immobile, frozen, still. No feelings dwelt there; lifeless chill. Her ice-clad heart, stuck in her breast. Her swollen center, hollow ice-chest. A pirouette, her arms poised, fourth position, caught in pose, dancing in full transition. Her feet, left in front of right, toes pointed out, snug-fit slippers, her frosted lips caught, in mid-shout. He saw her standing, still-life, statuesque beauty; to thaw her heart became his heart's duty. Her beat-less heart, her bosom un-throbbed; he touched her cheek, felt her woeful sob. The dancer's emotions, her body portrays, thawing feelings, her hurt displays. He grasped her hands, felt ice melts, frosted cheeks, now rosy welts. His gentle smile, manly grasp on her hip, warm man-hands, with tender grip. Her bosom now, moving, heaving slight, her smile now thawing, face now bright. Muscles moving, graceful flexion, they smoothly move in one direction. ...

Her funny...

Her funny... Her funny laugh fills me. Her button nose thrills me. Her silky locks, vaunt and please me. Her sinewy hips, taunt and tease me. Her hazel eyes mesmerize. Her sunny smile surprises. Her satin lips, purse and mock me. Her rosy cheeks, coerce and rock me. Her soft hand caresses me. Her sweet soul blesses me. Her loving heart, helps and heals me. Her soaring spirit, head over heels me. Her tender love amazes. Her gentle ways set me ablaze. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image by: Sophie Gengembre Anderson [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons

Rebirth needed

Rebirth needed Broken dreams like mirror shattered, shards of life are blindly scattered. Hope's frayed like pages, tattered, forgotten plans, who knows what mattered. Blackened days walked in woeful gloom, fire scarred memories, fearful doom. Four walls crush me, nightmares loom, keep me captive, like a tomb. Aimless wanders like wind blown dust, goals are gathered gleaned and crushed. Each step stolen, spirit's trussed, I've had enough, my soul combusts. Rebirth needed, a search for light, need to break through light-less night. Courage gathered, hold on tight, flaming faith is burning bright. Smallest embers, celestial spark, lightning bolts, crack the dark. Blazing boldness, hits the mark, glorious future, new paths embark. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ Image: By RhiannonDanae

missyou

missyou missyou when the sun goes down my lonely hand touches air. missyou when I move my head to kiss, my longing lips find nothing there. missyou when i smile at something, and your smile is nowhere near. missyou when the sun comes up, my body rolls onto cold sheets. missyou at the breakfast table, my body's hug no body meets. missyou when on morning walks, my footsteps no one greets. missyou when the sun is high, my laugh comes back unmet. missyou when the moonlight beams, my eyes are cold and wet. missyou when sunrise dawns, my longing turns to fret. missyou in the longest days. missyou on the coldest nights. missyou and your winsome ways. missyou and your loving light. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ image: By MGDboston
what about the love and what about the love, the love left behind, the love we hope for? and what is it about the love, the love we hope to find, the love we grope for? and what about the love we never find, the love that's blind? and what is it about the love we love with, the love we live without? and what about the love lost, the love we gave at great cost? and what is it about the love we long for, we long to live for? and what about the love we read about in books? and what is it about the love we see in movies? and what about the love we dream of? and what is it about the dreams of lost loves? and what about the love that endures, the love that cures? and what is it about the love, the love that burns, the love that spurns? and what about the love that fills, the love that spills? and what is it about the love that masters, that thwarts disasters? and what about the love that lingers, that inspires singers? and what is it about the love that holds and molds? and what...

my heart to thee When thou leadeth my heart to thee, I am filled with fullest joy. Winter Scenes: Winter's way

Winter's way I have trod on wind swept,  snow covered lanes. My boot shod feet  have marched  on frozen planes. Wrapped in fur and wool  as shield from icy grip. Winter's way  welcomes weary pilgrim  on his trip. A path worn well  from hoof and cart, like a road run through  my barren, frostbitten heart, leading to the silent ice-clad stream, my blood flow's stopped,  as in a dream. Pines trees  whisper in the wind, heartbeat tells me, I have sinned. Lesson's lies,  my memories haunt, like frosted lakes,  drawn and gaunt. As heat-less sun  glows on high, so do daydreams  vilely taunt. Hope has flown like snow-geese migrants, frosted dreams  becomes life’s tyrants. Blizzard blows  beyond  blue horizons, as youthful goals  grow grizzled, wizened. The past  has ceased  like gla...

two faces

two faces each one has two faces, each face plays a part, each one shows traces, of a traitor in the heart. each one makes decisions, each face turns aside, each one shows divisions, of betrayals that they hide. each one loves another, each face from the start, each face shows a brother, of deception made an art. each one tries to cover, each face turns aside, each failure to be faithful, each face that has denied. each one weeps together, each face sheds real tears, each painful deed tethers, each heart full of fears. © 2014 ajwrites57 A Long ❤ ❤ ❤ By Bryan Derksen, CC-BY-SA-3.0, via Wikimedia Commons
