missyou when the sun goes down
my lonely hand touches air.
missyou when I move my head to kiss,
my longing lips find nothing there.
missyou when i smile at something,
and your smile is nowhere near.

missyou when the sun comes up,
my body rolls onto cold sheets.
missyou at the breakfast table,
my body's hug no body meets.
missyou when on morning walks,
my footsteps no one greets.

missyou when the sun is high,
my laugh comes back unmet.
missyou when the moonlight beams,
my eyes are cold and wet.
missyou when sunrise dawns,
my longing turns to fret.

missyou in the longest days.
missyou on the coldest nights.
missyou and your winsome ways.
missyou and your loving light.
