The beauteous innocence of a life unspoiled;
a loving family shelter with peace unroiled.
Smiling laughter fills each luminous face.
Protected splendor yields personal grace.

The shattered wound of childhood lost.
Broken homes carry enormous cost.
The streaming sadness of flowing tears,
leaves scattered lives, forgotten years.

A heart that nurtures a growing seed,
can save a life that's become a weed.
Caring words build a beautiful life,
hurtful ones lead to generations of strife

Use your power to shield and heal.
Construct a haven in the commonweal.
Break the endless chain of fear.
Salve the wounds; dry the tears.

Winter's Way Snow swirls and settles softly, down. Frozen ponds and pine trees are painted white. Winter wind whirls, swirls and twirls in circles, up and down, in and out. Drifting snow piles high here and there. Snow birds flitter, flutter and forage,  then, hurry to their roosts to nestle. Bright moon shines and the ice reflects it's beams between snowflakes and flurries. December's icy blanket covers field and hills. Blustery nights turn into biting cold days.
