Glass Heart

Glass Heart

Heat of love, like burning fire,
sand and grit, searing ire.

Constant collision of emotions, strong,
emits smoke and ash, right and wrong.

Feelings unfiltered, smooth the surface,
life and love's clash at cross-purpose.

Love and hate, anger and joy
co-exist as frictions deploy.

Molten love like silica molded,
yields glass, liquid enfolded.

Hearts heat and cool, turn to glass.
Shimmering surface, shining mass.

Glass heart can suddenly shatter,
glistening shards sliver and scatter.

As love cools, heart's shell hardens,
smoldering ardor fills love's gardens.
