Vulgar

Vulgar Vulgar - a word that's hard to rhyme. For some, vulgarity constitutes a crime. Being crude is rude of course; some people just have no remorse for being gross in prose or rhyme, speaking, and perverse joking all the time. Some take pride, no shame they hide. Unwashed words are spoken in stride. But I'm not here naming names of those engaged in coarse word games. Or those who have a potty mouth, spewing forth verbs uncouth, spotty vernacular on display. Common words are oft’ in play. Indecent is their very best, common thoughts their words suggest. Lowborn language used to slight, the rest endure this awful plight. So here I venture to suggest, “Cease all plebeian, earthy jest!” (I wrote this on a blog post. I think it was one of  +Adrianna Joleigh 's out of control postings! I thought I needed to post something, since it has been awhile.) © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long If you enjoyed this offering, you can fi...

Love flowers, showers, empowers. Love thinks, remembers, forgets. Love grows, knows, shows. Love shields, yields, heals. Love finds, blinds, binds. © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long Love Makes Love makes you fly, gets you high. Love makes laugh, makes you cry. Love makes you sigh,  makes you wanna try. Know what annoys me?

Know what annoys me? Those small, ubiquitous, amorphous pieces of plastic bags annoy me. They turn up everywhere. Yesterday I found one in my wallet attached to a receipt. You know what they are! They can be blue or white or tan or beige. I opened the refrigerator and pulled out a pack of cheese. Guess what was attached! They seem to have magnetic or adhesive or static connections to the oddest objects, in the strangest places. I grabbed a folder of pages I'm trying to whittle down to go paperless and pulled out a page. Lo and Behold! I found a piece of plastic bag. I guess they exist because the plastic bags can never be completely and thoroughly cut. These pieces must hover in space and attach themselves to whatever they can find. I pulled my keys out of my pocket a few minutes ago and guess what I found? Yep! Know what annoys me? These small, ubiquitous, amorphous pieces of plastic bags annoy me. © 2013 ajwrites57 A ...

Heroes Gone

Photo  by Rachel Sarai via Flickr Heroes Gone Where have all the heroes gone? Men with vision, dusk to dawn. Hope and passion, strength and fire, Men who burn and never tire. Truth and justice in their hands,  spreading forth to worldwide lands.  Power wielding, power sharing,  men with wisdom, always daring.  Men endued with love and care,  Hearts of gold, gold to spare.  Where have all the heroes gone?  Men who's fight fights on. © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long More poems and articles can be found  here.

The Rhythm

The Rhythm  Your love fills my day with music. My heart beats to the rhythm  of your love. The music in my memory, replays your melody in my heart. The tune of my heart beats to the rhythm  of your love. The pulsing percussion of our passion empowers our love. The crescendo of our love cascades to climax, fulfillment of love. © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long  Photo  By Uryah (Own work) via Wikimedia Commons

A Mother's Love

For Marie By Mikuláš Galanda via Wikimedia Commons A mother’s love has tensile strength, height and depth and breadth and length. A mother’s love has tender caring, giving, showing, splendored daring. A mother’s love has words that heal, Speaking, touching, fully real. A mother’s love has touch to guide, moving forward, future’s pride. A mother’s love has long forgiving, forgotten sins, for life and living. A mother’s love is fully flowered, a blossom’s fragrance, scented showers. A mother’s love has super-power, forging, growing every hour. A mother’s love is these and more. A mother’s love is there forever. A mother’s love gives wings to soar. A mother’s love keeps life together. © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long Find more about poetry  here  and  here .

What Is Love?

What Is love?     When you say ‘love’—what is that? Yes, love is sometimes here and then gone. Love cannot be taken for granted. Love is a mystery. Why do we fall in love? Is it how the person looks; the smile or the eyes? Is love emotional or physical? How do we fall in love with someone? Is it spiritual? Is it chemical? Do pheromones control us? Is it a feeling? Is it an action? Is love given freely or given with strings attached? Is love a fleeting word? Is it a state of being? Is love commitment? Is love a demand? Is love free or does it have a cost? Is love a gift or a curse? Is love pleasure or pain? Is love a haven or a trap? Is love freedom or slavery? Does love last a lifetime? What causes love to die? Is it better to have loved and lost? Or is it better to have never loved at all? © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long Find love poems  here.    Find more love poems...
