Heroes Gone

Photo  by Rachel Sarai via Flickr Heroes Gone Where have all the heroes gone? Men with vision, dusk to dawn. Hope and passion, strength and fire, Men who burn and never tire. Truth and justice in their hands,  spreading forth to worldwide lands.  Power wielding, power sharing,  men with wisdom, always daring.  Men endued with love and care,  Hearts of gold, gold to spare.  Where have all the heroes gone?  Men who's fight fights on. © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long More poems and articles can be found  here.

The Rhythm

The Rhythm  Your love fills my day with music. My heart beats to the rhythm  of your love. The music in my memory, replays your melody in my heart. The tune of my heart beats to the rhythm  of your love. The pulsing percussion of our passion empowers our love. The crescendo of our love cascades to climax, fulfillment of love. © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long  Photo  By Uryah (Own work) via Wikimedia Commons

A Mother's Love

For Marie By Mikuláš Galanda via Wikimedia Commons A mother’s love has tensile strength, height and depth and breadth and length. A mother’s love has tender caring, giving, showing, splendored daring. A mother’s love has words that heal, Speaking, touching, fully real. A mother’s love has touch to guide, moving forward, future’s pride. A mother’s love has long forgiving, forgotten sins, for life and living. A mother’s love is fully flowered, a blossom’s fragrance, scented showers. A mother’s love has super-power, forging, growing every hour. A mother’s love is these and more. A mother’s love is there forever. A mother’s love gives wings to soar. A mother’s love keeps life together. © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long Find more about poetry  here  and  here .

What Is Love?

What Is love?     When you say ‘love’—what is that? Yes, love is sometimes here and then gone. Love cannot be taken for granted. Love is a mystery. Why do we fall in love? Is it how the person looks; the smile or the eyes? Is love emotional or physical? How do we fall in love with someone? Is it spiritual? Is it chemical? Do pheromones control us? Is it a feeling? Is it an action? Is love given freely or given with strings attached? Is love a fleeting word? Is it a state of being? Is love commitment? Is love a demand? Is love free or does it have a cost? Is love a gift or a curse? Is love pleasure or pain? Is love a haven or a trap? Is love freedom or slavery? Does love last a lifetime? What causes love to die? Is it better to have loved and lost? Or is it better to have never loved at all? © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long Find love poems  here.    Find more love poems...

Woman Who Wanted A Shoe

This poem is dedicated to  +Adrianna Joleigh   Woman Who Wanted A Shoe There was a young woman who wanted a shoe. She started with one, and then she bought two. With each one she bought, she had to make room. She cleaned out some space and swept with her broom. The footwear collection grew so immense, she added an annex surrounded by fence. She stacked her moccasins, mukluks and mules, "Out of my way, I'm shoe hunting, fools!" She adored sling-backs, slippers and sneakers. She loved a good pair that'd stun anyone's peepers. She loved to climb hills in sling-backs and heels. She'd rather be found in footwear than riding on wheels. She drew the line at work boots and waders, those for labor or searching for 'gators. The shoe fetish's growth was exponential. The footwear collection reached full potential. She proudly displays them for mankind to view. She’ll let you adore them if you donate a sh...

Some Are Drawn

Some Are Drawn Some are drawn to dark and pain, enduring, suffering, endless strain. Hiding, blocking, shunning light, no escape from loathsome plight. Some are drawn to joy and light, smiling, basking, sun’s delight. Forgetting, healing, cathartic gain, released from power’s inner pain. Some are drawn to doom and gloom, alone with nightmares, lonely room. Cringing, crying in the dark, forgetting life’s loving spark. Some are drawn to hope and sun, desiring love for everyone. Reaching, expecting life’s everyday, anticipating, positive, smiling way. Some will choose to turn aside, from selfish, lonesome, blinding pride. Some will choose the love of life, trade pain for peace, lose inner strife. © 2013 ajwrites57 A Long Pain photo  By dpawatts Joy photo  By hotblack If you enjoyed this poem, visit  Hubpages.

Happy Love

Happy Love ! This post is about two poems that I penned about  Happy Love ! It's also about how I've organized my writing in general. When I started blogging a few months ago and started reviewing my writings, rewriting, and editing them, the best way I could think of to keep track of them for posting was to separate them into different topics. I have folders for all the writings I'm working on: Ready To Go , Working and To Edit , and sub-folders for poems  stories  and articles. I've gone through the Love Poems I've written over the years and have categorized them. The main folder is Love , of course. The next sub-categories I created are In Love and Love Struggle . In the In Love folder I have Strong Love , Happy Love and Ethereal Love . In the Love Struggle folder I have Longing Love and End of Love . There may be other categories for Love but for now, these are the ones that I have utilized at the  moment . It also helps me to focus on the emotions...
